Vent Visors and Hood Protectors

Vent Visors and Hood Protectors
I just purchased a 04 4Runner Limited edition with a 4.0L engine and was considering getting some vent visors and a hood protector for it. I had a 96 4Runner which had the stick on visors and when I began to look into it noticed that they now have in-channel visors which have a little nicer look to them. I am concerned with the possible interference with the operation of the window and am concerned with either putting a strain on the electric window motor when rolling it up, or the possibility of window seating problems when it is rolled up as well. Has anyone had any experiences with these, either pro or con that they could share? Could you also let me know which ones (brands) are considered good and which are not?
In addition, I am also wondering about the hood protectors. My old runner had a wrap around which worked well, but I notice they seem to be more contoured now and are called bug deflectors, instead of hood protectors. They look a little nicer when they are contoured, but do they do the same job as the wrap arounds? Is Lund a good brand to use which might be a 'DIY" installation without drilling?
Any help anyone could give would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
