I run Pro Comp MT 31/10.5 with the stock 86 Pickup( I'm not sure what gears and true be told I wouldn't know how to find out) but My truck runns fine. I don't reaaly go anywhere but mud. I've be to Hollister with them once so far and they worked great but I wasn't going on the black diamonds just the blue trails. On the road they're nice, I can drop the clutch and make a little bit of noise and in the rain I can spin them all day. My truck does have trouble getting up to freeway speed though but then again it is a four cylinder. I've had them for a year and they have worn pretty good, even with main driving on the road.

Now thats what I needed to hear. Thanks sooo much. Maybe I'll go back to stock wheels and tires. As far as fender and tire clearence, how does the 10.5 width work with a stock suspension with NO lift. My rear is a flat bed with no spacers on the bed for a lift. Also if I go back to a toyota-chevy stock type wheel what would be the largest stock size tire I can fit without any rubbing, clearence type problems, offset, ect? This truck only has 36,000 orig miles and I have to use this stuff. It's just too new to toss. Thanks much for the replies. J

HELP!!! need info for 1986 4x4 truck tire-wheel combo

Well I've given up on the 31" tires at least for now. Anybody have information in reguards to what they have ran on there basicly stock 1986 4X4. The wheels that I have on now seem to be new American Racing and are appx. as wide as the 10.5 inch tires. Can I run say a 9 1/2 to a 10" tire in a 28" height? My truck has a diamond plate flat bed with no lift so the width on the rear should not be as critical as the front tire-fender clearance may be. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas. J
