Steering column compatibility

I tried a search for steering column swaps and found a couple, but they don't answer my questions. The ones I saw were all V6's. I have a 22re and I need to know if I can swap ANY tilt column into mine or does it need to be from a 4 cylinder? I found some tilt columns on ebay, but they were V6 and the seller didn't know if they would work. He also told me to do my own research! The guy was also selling the column "bezel". I'm assuming the only thing needed is the cover that goes around the column, right? Do I need to change the instrument panel under the steering wheel? The guy referred to an upper and lower bezel, so I'm not sure what that is. I appreciate any help, maybe someone knows of a thread that didn't come up in my search. With pics, 'cuz I'm kind of dense! Thanks!

Bezel pieces would be the 2 plastic cover pieces that clamshell around the column behind the wheel, but it could be something else so ask the seller. V6 and 22re tucks and 4runners shared basically same parts, but different engines so either one should work. I looked on eBay just now and saw a complete column with everything still attached, and it was only $65 shipped.

I saw that one but everything doesn't come with it. He wants crazy money for some of the plastic. It's in the description. I will wait until something else is on there!

i successfully swapped 95 interior and dash into my 88. the 95 had tilt wheel. Both were 22re and 4wd. They were however different. the 95 was a bit shorter and I had to machine the hole in the firewall out a tiny bit and make my own dust/water boot.
