Sharpie pen on interior

Has anyone used a Sharpie on their black interior pieces? I bought some SEM paint but was worried about overspray and then thought a big sharpie might work.

Wasn't sure if it would fade or if it would looked "colored in".

the sharpie might look colored in as well as might look purple and not black. Not to mention rub off. <--- insert lewd comment here. lol.

Rmally, Sharpie might not be a good idea. I have been using a black dye on my interior with great success. Its called "Forever Black" ..I bought it from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Forever-Black-.../dp/B000FOIJXQ

I used it to restore the black panel / bezel around the radio and it looks brand new! Its also great to restore black plastic on side view mirror , but it eventually wears off once it rains or there is sun damage. But its great for interior.

I have been looking to find something similar for my grey interior which would be great!!!

hgill and xxxtreme22r,

Thanks for the tips, I may order some today. The radio bezel area is the piece I'm trying to "restore" so that may be exactly what I need.

I also have grey interior, so if you ever find a product for that let me know.

Thanks,

Remove and spray paint it with vinyl/plastic spray paint found at local auto parts. Done.

You might also try some black shoe dye (not polish) from the local grocery or drug store.
