ok, i guess i will do gears while im there then and hold off on the front air locker. i have 31's now, probly going to go to 32 or 33 next time i buy tires which will be in the next 6 months sometime. would 4.88 gears be a better choice since im not going to run a 35+" tire?

We didn't even get the truck out of the drive way and birds were falling from the sky, cars were crashing at the intersection in front of my friends place, and all we heard were tons of sirens everywhere...
No seriously. Aside from the 5.29 gears I have in my junk the front locker was one of the best upgrades I've done. Don't regret it at all.

However, the other thing to consider is what tire will fit width wise as well as height wise. You can certainly get away with 32s, but 33 12.50 will give you some trouble. Then there is the option of 33 9.50, but you have to decide if that's a wide enough stance....
In the end, you should just throw in 488s, that ARB, and slap on some 32s. Then just go out and wheel the thing. It'll work fine, be cheaper than worrying about which locker for the front, and you'll have more fun on the trails. Besides, you always want to leave something that needs to be done.
