I have to go to work on Monday, so I need this fixed ASAP. My alternator went out Christmas eve so I bought a new one and replaced it. 3 nights ago my wife and I were going down a gravel road when my lights just went out. Drove it home and found a blown headlight fuse (i guess it's a headlight fuse, pic posted below) replaced the fuse but nothing. I bought a used relay and replaced that but still no lights. I checked the fuse again it was blown again. Now every time I put in a new fuse it blows. What my problem?! The fuse that blows is at the bottom right (the empty slot at the bottom right)

Find the wire harness going to the headlights and make sure none of the wires are worn and touching each other. Sounds like something it just grounding out that shouldn't.

you bought a used relay? relays are 11.99, why not buy a new one? youn might have got a bad headlight relay

Lower right fuse it typically the Haz-Horn fuse:

The middle two are the right and left side headlights.

so my fuse that keeps blowing has nothing to do with my headlights?

is there any way to run a toggle swith to them until I can get a real mechanic to look at it?

If it is the Hazard-Horn fuse that is blowing, then it has nothing to do w/ the headlights. The headlight fuses would only kill one headlight or the other if one fuse blew out. Any chance of a trailer wiring plug on the truck? If so, not uncommon for those to cause problems, that fuse also works the turn signals.

yes, there is a trailer wire at the end of the bed, but I've never used it before

If there is an adapter box attached to the trailer wire, the problem is usually in that box. Try disconnecting it and see if anything changes. Easy enough to do.

alright, my trck is at my father-inlaws bc he loaned me his car last night. As soon as I go over there in gonna disconnect it. Thanks man I'll let you know what happens.

I had a friend look at my problem and used a tester and said their not getting power. Im going to have to buy a new switch I guess. Or try to clean of the contacts on the switch

Where exactly was this voltage test done? If at the headlight connectors, you'll normally only see power (12 volts) at the common terminal. That voltage comes from the headlight relay via the left and right headlight fuses. Then the headlight dimmer switch provides the ground connection (0 volts so you will never measure any voltage on those terminals). So if you are missing the 12 volts, suspect the relay or fuses or wiring between those parts. If missing the ground connection, then suspect the wiring or headlight dimmer switch or the cab ground connection.

He did the test on the headlight connectors. I removed my steering wheel today. Gonna try to clean off the contacts on the switch tomorra
