Newbies First Off Road Trip
Let me start by telling a little about my truck. I have recently traded my 2001 CBR600 for a 1985 Toyota with a 22r. (Good trade in my mind, I wanted to get a bigger bike anyways) The truck has a reman. engine with roughly 22000 miles, 5 speed, 5.29 gears, spool in rear locker in front, 35" BFG Krawlers, bobbed bed, and leather buckets.
I took it out on our first off road adventure together on Memorial day, and wouldn't you know it, I broke something. I was going through a pretty small mud hole and gave it some gas with the front wheels in the mud and the rear out, and hear a loud pop. I powered it out and felt that the right front wheel was locked up. I took it out of 4lo and put it into 2, unlocked the hubs, and was able to pop it loose. So we limped home in 2 wheel and I found that it was almost impossible to turn left more than a full turn. It turns right just fine and there is no noise or vibrations at 45mph.
I got the chance to tear into the front hub and found something that didn't look quite right to me. The outside hub nut seems to be bent as well as a big gouge in the side. The washer/ring inbetween has been bent badly. I am hoping these are the only things I need to repair.
Has anyone else had this happen and is there something else lurking in the shadows that I will need to fix as well? I have searched the forums and found some helpful threads, but nothing exactly like this. Thank you in advance for your help and I hope my first post wasn't a total screw up.

Sounds like a broken birfield joint inside the knuckle:

That can make steering difficult since the birfield needs to turn from side to side as you steer.
