Alaska Heater / Blower bad?
Hey. Couple questions. 1. I live here in Alaska in Kenai. Been here a couple years and still looking for a good place to crawl. Know of any places? 2. I have a 88 4runner and my heater went out and winter is coming. Time to fix it. I run through the wiring and had found the switch is not working right, the resister was burnt on one setting, and the Blower motor is not running(even after trying to bypass the switch). easy enough to change it all out but I and confused as to why it all went out at the same time? What could cause this? I have yet to try bypassing the ground from the motor to see if the motor is still working but has a bad ground. I'll try that out tonight. Also the fuse and the relay are still good and working fine. haven't had to change them yet.

Well I think I found the issue. Ill leave the post up for anyone else who might have the same issue.
I Pulled the blower motor out and jumped it straight to the Battery. The motor turned and started working again. Plugged it back in and all's back to normal. My guess is that the motor is going out. It was seized causing it not to turn on and the jump of full power re charged the blower.
