I was wondering if i could get feedback on the cheapest way to lift my truck (1987 4Runner, 4cyl)..i honestly just want to put 33' mudders on it and i'm guessing i need to lift the truck. Can anyone give me advise on what I can do/use/buy to lift it..but i'm on a tight budget and the cheapest way for me is the best, and safety is necessary...Please help..

The cheapest way to do what you want to do is to put on a 2" body lift. You'll clear the mudders just fine. Should be able to do it for around 100 bucks, and you'll have great performance.

31s will fit stock...32s are pushing it. 33s you are going to need a simple suspension lift and/or a 2"+ body lift IIRC.

A lot of people are running ball joint spacers (search for info) and/or a body lift (search for info) while other go with a 4" IFS bracket lift. But if you get the right width tire and the right backspacing, there is no lift required. There is tons of info on this. Grab a cup of coffee and search/read. One way might be better for you and fit your needs the best.... only way to determine that is to read up on how others have lifted the and what type of terrain they wheel.

I have 33x12.5 bfg m/t's and 3" BL and they rub the front plastic inner fenders when turning up a grade... i just took them out.
I use 4crawler's "Ultimate" bodylift... it's the best on the market.
