i have a 87 4runner and for some reason if it sits in the rain for a while and i go to go somewhere. once i crank up the heater fan whether its hot or cold it blows a little bit of water out of the vent on the passenger side. now i do leave it on fresh air rather then recirculate... and it doesn't continually do it.

next question my windows are hard going up and down (specially when its rainy out and i live in oregon) so 3/4 of the year is rain. lol. does anyone know where i can get new rubber tracking that goes in there? or does anyone have a simple homemade fix? any help is much appreciated! thank you!

Q 1) I know the window trim is notorious for leaking; there was a thread up a little while ago about custom/aftermarket trim. hit that search button



Q 2) I'd like to hear if there's a trick for this too (I mean, besides the obvious "buy new tracks from Toyota" ), as mine are a MOJOR PITA to move up or down... not just in the rain either, any time... I actually tried pulling the door panel off once, and smearing some extra left-over wheel bearing grease in the tracks, and it actually make them move MUCH better for maybe 10 up and down cycles

You should be able to find the part, called "front door glass run" in the EPC, at the dealer, but it'll cost you $75 or so each.

lol yeah, my drivers side window rolls up and down pretty easily... but there is rarely a time when i don't have my window down lol. passenger side was sticking so badly that it broke the front part of the track apart. and it is still a bear to get down, in fact i think it is starting to strip the gears out on the regulator i did try a mass load of WD-40, it also only lasted about 10 up and down cycles.
