What shocks can I get at Autozone or Oreilly for lift?
I know it's been asked 1000 times I'm sure, and I've been searching for a couple hours, and I read the sticky threads and such, but a few problems I'm running into is, oreilly auto and autozone don't like to search by part number, they like to search by vehicle.
And most of the recommendations are either rancho or OME or procomp and such. What I need to know is, when using BJ spacers up front, and LC coils in the rear (95 4Runner) is there shocks from another vehicle that will fit the lifted height? I replaced my axle and while doing so I went ahead and put in my LC springs I got, it lifted it significantly (3 or more inches I'd say) and the stock shocks are actually pulling the vehicle down which is resulting in 0 droop. I need to replace it with something cheap for now until I have the money to get something nice, and I can't really drive it until I change the shocks.

The only shock you could get at the places mentioned that would add lift (extend travel) are a good old fashion set of air shocks.
Unless you are planning to have your suspension topped or bottomed out offroad you should be ok short term.
Save your pennies and look for the proper shock for your application(amount of travel),like fox,bilstien,rancho,skyjacker,etc.etc..

I'm not needing to add lift with my shocks... my suspension is currently topped out and is not safe to drive as any little bump makes the back end bounce around.
I guess if anyone could tell me the part numbers for the different manufacturers of shocks, that will work with 2.5"+ in the front and 3"+(not really sure how much the LC adds to the back) to the back.

so far I have come up with these:
Skyjacker Suspensions H7054 front
they fit the front of a 3"-4" lifted 95 4runner
and what looks to be the front and rear of a stock height 1990 DAIHATSU ROCKY
Skyjacker Suspensions H7024 rear
they fit the rear of a 3"-4" lifted 95 4runner
and the rear of a 0-2" lifted 91-97 LAND CRUISER
by the looks of the application it seems as though the land cruiser coils should give 2-3 inches of lift.

I have about 4 inches lift with the SAS conversion. I had to modify the setup and have the shocks on top of the axles and angled towards the middle. But they were $23 a piece. I am going to use them for the front since they look to work good for me.

oh and by the way, tell the parts counter people at Autozone etc, this is the part number i need give it to me. the hell with what kind of vehicle I have. or tell them this is the part number i have tell me what this fits.
if they can't do that then they don't belong behind the counter they need to be out front as eye candy bringing people into the store.
see this thread: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f5/p...stupid-207793/

Why not buy some pro-comps from 4wheel parts, they are cheap and work good enough, I have ES9000s that I like but I believe the 3000s are ok and very inexpensive.

What vehicle would they be used on that is comparable to the 4Runner with BJ Spacers and LC springs, or rather what part number would the front/back be?

Have a read through this thread, it has a tonne of shock lengths and part numbers. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...thread-141193/

From post #4 in the thread I linked, quote:
Front is Rancho 5167. Stocker for a 4wd Samurai.
Rear is Rancho 5009. Pretty much the longest shock you can run with a pin on the top.
5167
10.25 compressed / 15.25 extended
5009
15.625 compressed / 26.25 extended
This info can be verified at Rancho's site
http://www.gorancho.com/products/doc...ifications.pdf
From there you can just find shocks that match your measurements and mounting needs from various makers. Possibly, valving would be off if you use a 3/4 ton Dodge shock on your Runner, but you get the idea.
Besides if it's just a temporary solution...

Go to the Procomp website, find the length of the shock you need by looking at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th digits in the ProComp part number, then search how much longer your shock needs to be for the lift you have, then find another application with the correct length you need. Note the application, then ask the parts guy for the shock meant for whatever vehicle you found to have the right length shock. Not necessarily the best way to get the greatest ride comfort, but you'll get the right length shock. Also pay attention to whether the shock has a pin or a loop on the top and bottom otherwise you wont be able to mount the shock without adapters. Pickups and 4Runners use pin top, ring eye at the bottom.
