I mysteriously changed due to my phone call at about 330 pm today LOL!!!
I called them up, and explained the situation, it is covered under warranty!
But instead of them shipping me a new bumper i asked them to
a)Change the website
B) send me the side support brackets
and they did/doing both!
I am VERY pleased with the outcome, they are great to deal with.
Ill get more pics of the damage up later, and currently im beating ti back into shape..
The right bracket is back to shape
the majority of the left bracket is, but the only problem is that twist... its shortened the bracket by ~.5"!!!!
When i get this all straightened out, im welding on the side support, and adding some braces to keep the bracket in shape, C Channel!

Good to hear! Make sure you run some metal down the rail and where the bumper attaches to on the frame.........the more surface area the better......think of a snow shoe, the bigger, the better it will hold you up

If anyone has ever tried to beat a twisted piece of steel back to shape.. it sucks...

I might give it a few tacks to the frame...
And basically torch it, twist it back? Hmm... This sounds like a two person job..

Pretty much..
If you can get it up on a vise to where you can heat it, and have the bumper stick straight up and down in the air so you can apply heat and twist it, then i think you'll be able to get it back to normal
that's what i would do, atleast.
Or, if you cant get it in the upright position, use it to where you can turn the thing on its side with the bracket in a vise or a slot or something.
Any way you can get leverage on it, and apply heat to it, will work.

I was trying to do that, except our vise has a base that rotates... and it refuses to tighten enough to allow me to put the pressure needed on it... hmmm back to the drawing board..

I was playing with a 2.5lb sledge to start with...
the only problem is i dont have anythign to lay the bracket down thats flat and tough enough to just wail on it... hmmm ill have to make a rig it looks like...

I just ordered me a couple of the side supports for my Trail Gear bumper. I like the bumper, but it's mounting always bothered me. I intended to fab my own brackets, I didn't realize they had some already made.
Great post! Saved me some work, and probably a lot of grief as I probably wouldn't have done the work until I had broken something. Now I can fix it before it breaks.
