w56a vs w56b t-case
Are they compatible or not is the question. My tranny is jacked up but my t case is fine. Found a tranny without a t case but its an 85 w56. I have an 88 w56. So now thias is where my question falls in, are they compatible?

As long as your transmission is a top shift it will work

I've heard that but I don't know what's the difference from forward shift and top shift
