good morning all.

few questions...mostly pic requests.

do you have any pics of the way the wire harness attaches?? I have 2 substantial plates that I'm not quite sure what I do with them and don't have the corresponding pics. I DO have a pic showing the ground-wire-attachment points at the passenger's valve cover and driver's side too.

in studying your one front end pic, I can see where 2 of 3 brackets I have will go. I have a 3rd that I can't for the life of me, figure out.....and I am growing tired of taking stuff back off because I messed up the assembly sequence. I will post up pics to show you what I am talking about.

also, how in the world did you torque the crankshaft bolt to 181ft/lbs?? I can rent a wrench for $100 that I don't have because the wrench I do have only goes to 150ft/lbs. I was thinking of torquing to 150 and the giving it a good yank to a presumed 181 but that's just not right. plenty of info and tricks on how to remove the bolt but I find nothing telling how to install it.

do you have a nice pic showing the distributor installed correctly? I just want to be sure I get this right too.

thanks man....appreciate any and all help.

Hey 92. That is a (insert ugly phrase here) bracket that goes around the A/C. Can't recall what each end attaches to. But do recognize it from Feb. Oh, BTW, did I mention you need to throw the long bolt thru it before you get the (ugly word inserts) A/C back close, because it doesn't fit?? (I'm laughing with you.)

Pretty sure. But will try to dig up pics from dis-assmbly later 2nite if you haven't got answer from someone qualified.

BTW, those don't look like stock exh. manflds. What are they? You've done the crossover pipe elimination?

Yes, the non-threaded hole = A/C bolt and the threaded end goes behind one of the holes on the P/S pump bracket. I'll take a few pics tomorrow. Up to 125 miles on the new engine so far she runs like a champ. Have a couple mystery leaks ( non engine related ) and a " clunk " when i let off the clutch. Going to investigate those tomorrow aswell.

Those go on the top side of the valve cover and hold the injector wiring harness in place.
There were clamps on the wiring harnesses originally, but it gets brittle and falls apart.
They bolt to the top valve cover bolts and the harness attaches to the other holes...
Clear as mud??????

tanx ...check out Joe's thread. we're good with that bracket. I'm nervous as anything. don't want to chase any leaks.
