Is this right? Another rotor question
hello all, i have a quick question. on my 89 4runner (ifs) i have pulled the drivers side rotor to replace a broken wheel stud, but my question is in regards to the 54mm nuts. i have read on different threads that there is supposed to be 2 with a locking washer between. i have only one and it was loose when i finally got to it. do the ifs trucks only have one and the solid axle have two because of the cv axle's. last question is what should the nut be torqued to? thanks

On my 92 I have 2 nuts and the washer. I use a hammer and screw driver for it. I snug the first and tighten the second. Haven't had any problems in 6 yrs that way.

IFS should have 2 nuts and the locking washer, don't put it back with only one, it'll just come loose again.

904runner did yours always have manual hubs? i have auto hubs and upon looking at your pics and comparing it to mine, the one 54mm nut that i do have has 6 threaded holes in it that the hub bolts into with 3 torque head screws. i assume that will keep it from loosening.
does anyone know how tight it should be, or is it by "feel"?
