I have a 1988 4runner 4x4 and it has the common toyota rear sag and was wondering what the easiest way to lift the rear end up to stock height

Yup I with this guy, check out my thread on it. I have before and after pictures of my 86 4runner, and now she rides awesome cant even hear or know they are back there

the "proper" fix is to replace your leaf springs. there are few companies who make stock-height springs, but a 2" lift wouldn't be a bad thing.

sure the Zuk-mod is cheap and can get the job done, but IMO it's a temporary fix and if i'm going to spend any $ on fixing it, i might as well do the proper fix one time and move on to something else.

The zuk mod is way cheaper and wouldn't be so popular if It didnt work. Proven and effective and only takes 10 minutes.

the zuk mod might be a "band-aid" type repair, but if you are on a budget its the way to go. i didn't shell out much coin either, i found some jeep springs on craigslist for $10. i see a lot of people running the black magic brand springs, but if i were going to shell out that much cash, i would go ahead and shell out some more on a new leaf pack set. my truck rides just fine, i don't think its very stiff. its quiet, i don't know the springs are back there. i have lost some flex on the rear, but i don't go off road often and when i do its all for fun. and i go with others that can pull my ass up the trail!

Im mainly concerned about fitting 33/10.5/15 I know they fit stock height but dont know if the rear sag will make them not fit my rear end sags about 2 inches

+1 for zuk if on budget, and while working on more pressing issues (like getting it to run reliably). I run at speed limit without braking at this intersection with mine.

+1 for 2-inch lift Ole Man Emu, matched with OME's torsion bars up front, IF you have the budget. Search "Home on the Highway / Defrag", and "Ruined adventures". They've put theirs to the real test. I would be wary of B.J spacers for the front; See Blazeland's study.

-1 for Toyota OEM leafs; That would be putting known-poorly designed leafs on your truck.

Very Unlikely that 33/10.5/15 will fit stock. Not even without the sag. 31/10.5/15, yes.
