Pull the starter when doing headers!
I am so mad at myself, I installed headers on my truck a few months ago, and immediatly after doing so the starter started clicking on me from time to time. I should have pulled the starter and changed the contacts when it was right there with the manifolds out. Instead, I spend 4 hours getting the starter out yesterday, which included removing the passenger side motor mount. The good news is that the contacts are really worn, so it is an easy fix.
I really should have known better, since my 89 4runner I used to have, had the contacts go out at about the same mileage as my 92!

Probably too late now,
But, if you still have it out, buy a starter blanket for it, the headers tend to cook the starter over time. The starter blanket will keep it going even longer.

I had a blanket on it, but I don't think it mattered anyway, the contacts were just plain worn out. I will be putting the blanket back in though.
