Ordered My Clutch

Well as many of you know I'm in the boat that most of you are in...having the projects, having time, not having enough funds. I have a few projects slooooowly moving along. The 4Runner is going to take quite a bit to get going the Pickup really only needs a clutch to get it trail worthy. She's my DD so I tend to baby her a bit. Well I want to play in the mudd and run trails soon so I just ordered the Clutch out of my 4Runner fund so at least I can play.

The clutch should be in Friday so maybe I'll start on it Sat.

I think I'm going to try and run the 35's for play that I'll take off my parts truck. If that won't work well I'll swap the 33's off the runner put the 35's on it and use the 33's for play and the 31's for DD use. I am running 4.10's ya know.

Lots of pic's and to come, the only clutch I have changed was out of a 71 Bug!!!

What ever Advanced auto had... I looked at Marlin and looked at my wallet then called Advanced.

Ya Freebee from Criag's, only downfall its from an extended cab so it's not a perfect fit. Close but not perfect, I'll get the right one someday.

MY clutch is the advanced auto one too. the hd perfection. don't let someone tell you that the throwout bearing is the wrong one though. its a little bigger O.D. wise.

does the cap leak at all when it rains? I had a little problem with mine but I'm pretty sure it's been on the truck since 1990, so I just put some caulk around it and it doesn't leak anymore. Mine is a lot uglier than yours though.

Well I look at it this way...it's better than the one I have now with 140K on it. I looked at Wab as well and I still was being cheap...

The cap leaks where it sits on the bed aside from that no. I have to pull it to get it to seat better and put some foam on it and it will be alright. The extended cab caps taper from the top back to the bottom by about 1.5" so its tight on top and caped on the bottom and hangs over in the back a wee bit. Better than nada though.

LUK makes the Zoom clutches as well I believe. My point was that the Advance clutches are quality.
