guess you havent seen the reports of optimas lately...

bought a replacement for a 5 y/o one i had. that lasted me about 7-8 months before it wont even hold a charge...

this was in 09.

I misunderstood, I thought you meant batteries in general. I hate Optimas for this exact reason. They're just overhyped show batteries, in my opinion.

I've never had any problems with my Die Hard batteries.

my history with optimas batts go back to around 1992/1993 when i first bought one before anyone knew what optimas were.

back then, they were a small company where, when i went to a trade show, guess who manned their booth. the president of the company.

next thing you know, they were bought out by a bigger company. i think the last company to buy them was johnson controls. they make tons of stuff and not just for cars.

so i think their QC dropped like a rock...

optima battery's are junk. had a yellow top in my honda, if i didn't drive it for a few days it would be dead. It completely died after 13 months. I will never buy one again.
