yea if you can find a place to regear both my diffs for $300..please let us know so we can all give that guy ALOT of business..heck its $150 a diff just for the R&P..then you gotta get the master install kits..hell thats $400 just in parts.....already over $300 and we havent even takin the diff out yet..lol
i agree with everybody..you wont be able to gain enough power by doing exhaust mods and intake mods..it wont happen...
i had some brand new 33" swampers on the back of my '86 (22r 5spd 4x4) for like a couple hours..and yes....i COULD leave some nasty black marks in the school parking lot..lol..of course that was when i had a better clutch..then it got worn out after a few months of wheeling..when i rebuilt my motor..new clutch..and it will light up these heavy @$$ 31" swampers ALL DAY LONG!..lol..and it all kinda depends on the surface that you're on..with the 33's i was on SUPER SMOOTH CONCRETE..with my 31's i was on OLD blacktop..so yea..lol

o yea....jeez i sound stupid...............................
thats actually one of the articles thats on my list everytime i hit the junkyard..hahaha find a set of 4.88 diffs
only problem is the stock 4.88 diff's are offset..so you CAN NOT REGEAR THEM...they HAVE to be 4.88 FOR LIFE>.(supposedly)..im hoping to find a whole rear axle with e-locker (4.88) and a front diff (also 4.88)

^ you me and blueyota all gatta have a beer together lol-
i dont plan on getting enough power to to burnouts in the truck, just get up hills and merge into traffic safely, im thinking 32x11.5 would be good since most of them only measure 31.3-31.5 inches anyway
also im thinking no matter how big i go over 31s my trucks ganna become a 4speed

shoot if someone would tell me where this magical place is that changes gears for 300 dollars a diff, please enlighten me of where it is. The cheapest i have found to do my diff around these parts has been $600 a diff. Of course that includes basically a rearend rebuild kit but im not tearing down my rearend without doing that to.

so get some used 4.56 thirds at a bone yard, could prolly be had for under 300 for both...only takes a couple hours to change them out...they are real easy... 4.56 would do the trick I'm sure.

Because they suck, have ads in hotrod magazines for idiots who have no idea what the hell an exhaust does, or how to change their own oil, and think they got a hotrod, they sound like crap, flow like crap, and are crap, I dont mean to be a dick but what kind of experience do you have that they work man? My family's raced bracket cars for thirty years and from my experience, they suck. Exhaust does nothing for a vehicle, ever notice that rednecks with 350's and straight pipes think they're fast but they arent? So do ricers, they "hear" the power and think its fast, when its a turd, our yota's are turds, made for offroad, and low end torque, not for racing, or bein a street squirrell. Other'n the 3.4 Taco's that have forced induction, heck my Taco is pretty snappy, but exhaust and intake didnt do anything to either of my vehicles, nor anyone elses from what ive seen, stock exhaust IS restrictive, I think the 22R is a small enough engine a stock cat, and a few feet of 2" pipe after that is sufficient backpressure, and has good tone and volume, not loud, but not quiet, the cat does most of the muffling actually..
