Need Help!!! Please.
I am looking to possibly take on a new project and am not sure what exactly is involved. here is the deal. i currently have a 1994 2wd toyota pickup with the 22re. and as most of you know 2wd sucks. so a friend of mine has an '89 or newer (not positive on the year) 4x4 truck with a 22re and an extremely rough body. my plan was to do a complete body swap. is this easily doable? are the floors the same? because i understand i would have to cut for the transfer case range selector. i understand as long as they are both 5 speed, which they are, body lifts are the same. so is it the same body? thanks in advance, -Eric.

I know the answer.....but I won't tell you
climb under the trucks and get out a tape measure I'm sure you will find your answer.
I have put a 88 runner body on a 85 truck frame with only a little mods. I know it can be done.

If they are both the same generation (89-95), are both the same body models (ex cab short box, etc.) Teverything will bolt up.
You will need to cut a bigger hole for the t-case shifter, and the 2wd front end and fenders are different. They will still bolt up though..

ok thanks, i know about the front ends, and the front fenders having larger openings to fit bigger wheels. and seeing that the bodylifts were the same for both trucks made me think that also. but thanks for all of your input. i will let you guys know how it works out.
