Low Idle - '86 22RE Pickup

I recently sucked water up in my engine, after turning the motor out and fixing the car I have noticed that on some occasions the truck's idle will drop down to the 300-400 RPM area and the truck seems to be running fairly rough. I noticed the air flow meter was corroding from water so I cleaned that out and it seemed to help but the truck has just started doing it again. If anyone has had this experience with their 22RE I would appreciate if you chime in.

The air flow meter may be on its way out. Click below for instruction to test it.

i did the same thing to mine and it had the same symptoms. Open the throtle body and see if there is any sludge built in behind the flap. But in all honesty its probly in the air flow meter.
