Just thinking
So I was just thinking I'm tired of trying to fix my back window on my 1st gen runner and was wondering if there is a way to make it manual like the old blazers cuz that would make things very simple

I run a ground wire and bypass all of the safeties. As long as your switch and relay box is good, it works great. You have to use the front tab or find a good ground. The rear tabs are isolated and wont ground.

Running a ground wire from this wire on the plug, the blue wire to the place on the pic below elminates a lot of problems.
Ground to center console mounting tab.
The ground wire bypasses the following safety switches. Cover Top and Door Lock Detections switch. Your window will roll up with top off. This is on Page 12-23 of the Haynes Manual where the key is to the bottom of the page.
Haynes "L" for Blue, "R" for Red. Key is pointing to wire.

I used the 4crawler method of semi bypassing the computer for the window and installed two relays. I think I did a little write up in my build thread a couple years ago.
