Just finished painting my rims Check em out!!

Alright so we have a little problem...actually a big one!
So i went to go wash my tuck and started by wetting the dirt that i had gotten on my rims off, but as i was rinsing them i noticed that the water running off was black. So i bent down to go look at the rims and ran my finger around the edge and the black paint began to come off! practically all the way to the primer! I mean it came off like powder as if it had never really set in..and i had painted them 7 days ago!!
And i followed the directions exactly!
Then i knew my friend had painted his rims with engine block paint. So i decided to try this with my spare tire and i found out that this works so much better!!! The rim was dry to the touch in 30 minutes and i was even able to run my finger along it to see if i would get the same result as before but nope! So now im going to sand all the wheels down again
and spray them with Rustoleum Engine Block paint..Ill post more UPDATED pics once i finish

I noticed it after i finished painting and figured i would just let them dry but the stayed like that, it was weird like all the pigment came off

Seriously last time i use Duplicolor! lol..Well sanded down the 2 front wheels today paint tomorrow..i will post pics on saturday most likely

use something like alcohol or mineral spirits to clean the rims before paint and let it air dry for awhile/. the pigment coming up might have been the result of some residual oil or moisture on the rims. Or incomplete shaking of the Rattle can-propellant was separating in the paint...Shake the can harder/longer
I had a similar issue painting a white steel rim for my spare...took the time to prep it right the second time and it looked a lot better--even a year later it is holding up
light coats with lots of drying time between coats.

I must admit i didn't take the prep time care that i took when i painted my skid plate..i think it was the moisture because as soon as i laid down my first coat it started pour. However i just finished two rims today and will be posting updated pics soon.
