Important Question About Knock Sensor Wire
i found the problem with the knock sensor, it seem the wire came out of connector to the sensor.. i was trying to find a way to route it but it seems the wire is to short, or unless im routing it the wrong way... does anyone know about how long the wire is from the sensor to the connector on the wireing harness,, mine is about 10 - 12 inches

The knock sensor on my 3.0 is a single wire, with a braided shield around it. I had to change connectors on mine. Luckily, I only had to change the connector and not splice it. You could use 2 copper wires, but you might want to keep the lengths as short as you can.

ok... do any of u remember how the wire is routed from the snesor to the wire harness... it looks like it goes from the sensor to the back of the block then up into a little hole on the head

MINE WAS IN THE BLOCK AT TOP UNDER THE MANIFOLD, THEN THE WIRE CAME OUT OF THAT AND WENT THROUGH THE SLOT IN THE HEAD THE HOOKED TO THE WIRING HARNESS

I had a spare harness here with a different engine. If I remember, I think you can get a replacement from the dealer. I might have another one here though. If you can, post a picture of yours; is it round or square?
