Sounds like it..... I replaced mine due to this issue. Pull the drums and have a look'see. Mine was leaking like a pig, so it was obvious it was time for either a rebuild kit or replace...I replaced. However, I've been told(heard varying opinions) that the both sides should be done at the same time.... which makes sense, as you're adding new pressure to one side that the other wont have. They're not that expensive a fix, Bo, ...but I know how tight most budgets are right now, lol. You can get all new inner parts and seals and rent a hone kit, clean em out and slap the goodies back in, seals, adjust, voila! lol. Or, as I said, you can just replace em. Don't think I paid much at Napa. Did my calipers too. This couldn't have anything to do with your messed up e-Brake messing with things on one side, right? (not sure what you've done on that, sorry)

yea, theyre like 20 bucks each cylinder. mines definitely not leaking, but i cant think of what else would make the brakes go on and off i was looking at my e-brake and i played with the adjuster a little bit, but i had no idea what i was doing. the fsm is kinda confusing on adjusting it haha

You pulled the drum, got peekin in there, good? Springs/pins can get screwed up, etc., just curious.

Also, I was just asking about the e-brake idea, ....I know something snapped, but wasn't sure if you'd fixed it, was it still grabbing from that point back to the right wheel, but not the left? Etc.

Curious...... Hmmmm, could you maybe have clogged lines on that side and sometimes the right rear isn't releasing pressure? LVSV issue? Is it just randomly applying itself from time to time? Or, is it sticking depressed when you pull yer foot?

yea, pulled the drum off, everything looked good from what i could tell. and something snapped...? haha you sure youre thinking of the right truck? lol
the pedal goes pretty much to the floor the first time i press it, then gets more pressure with a few more pumps. the brake comes on randomly, and sometimes it will stick when i pull my foot, but then it will go away, then come back again, etc.

Hahaha... Well, I mean "stationary springs or pins", that hold the shoe in place. You did say 'REAR RIGHT', no? hahaha. The Cable is what I think I was mentioning the 'snapped' point for. What I meant was, is it still holding on one side, yet snapped, being useless from the point that it's snapped back to the handle...???? lol. Make any sense? I'll just look at mine, later. haha.

Now that you're mentioning the pedal sponge, etc., ....it really sounds more like when my Master Cyl was messed up. Pulling in air at times on it's own, as it leaked, etc., causing it to go soft, even hold pressure at times cuz of air in the lines. Curious how it would effect only the rear right(the furthest wheel from the master, lol), ...but maybe there's more involved than what you can 'feel' or 'guess', alone, right? Have you checked, carefully, for the leaking of the master cyl?

haha no, no cable is snapped, and the e-brake still holds the truck like it used to. havent looked at my MC recently, but the fluid hasnt dropped at all. but, it did drop almost past the min. level a while ago. i thought nothing of it and filled it up. now that i think about it, the pedal was starting to get spongy before the rear right went crazy. i will definitely have to check that out, driving my avalanche on 33s with a v8 right now i love v8s haha. but i will inspect it when i get home

I hear ya, and yeah, if you let it go really low, ....could be part of the issue. However, if you just filled it up, shouldn't be an "AIR" issue. BUT, hahaha..... why was it so low in the first place, ya know?

HAHAHAHA! YESSSSS! You're so right, and I'm SOOOOOO SORRY, man! lol. I got on a tangent on here, but was automatically dragged back to the relative thread due to symptoms that just didn't seem the same as I was MIS-remembering! lol

Thanks, HB! Again, sorry, lol.

Best wishes on the trip to the brake guy. Let us know.
