Could be a low voltage battery - if it's just clicking.
Did you remove the starter ? Did you find anything wrong with the connections ?

Got it running right i had a wire mixed up along with many other hoses, right now we are searching for a vaccuum leak. anyone have the diagram?

If you have a significant vacumn leak it will die at idle. A small vacumn leak will most often cause a high idle, while a larger leak will only allow the engine to run with the throttle advanced.
It could also be timing related - what are you doing to your truck ? this thread all started with a starting problem with the starter ?
