Fuel Injectors

Welp, I'm in the middle of a HG replacement. Got to a good stopping point--I got 2 head bolts that don't want to come off--I'm sure you can guess which ones. I put PB Blaster on them and I'll mess with them tomorrow.

Question: I have the injectors out. 2 of the 4 had little brittle greenish black caps on the ends--they eventually broke off. The other 2 are fine. Can I purchase new "end caps" for them or do I have to replace both the injectors? I'm planning on sending the injectors away to be cleaned, but I won't if I have to replace 'em. Any ideas?

Looks like a great reference! The "pintel" or "pintle" caps were what I was referring to. I think I'll go with your reference over witchhuner (which was what I was going to go with in the beginning). Your reference is cheaper, they mentioned that they replace the pintel caps and their ebay rating is great. Thanks for the tip!

Now where, in comparison to the other injectors, is the cold start injector located?

Was this price for all 4, or just each injector?

another quick comment on Cruizn Performance's work... I've read several posts on this forum about having injectors tested/cleaned and having them 'stick' if they aren't installed soon after. i didn't install my injectors for about 6 weeks after I received them back from Cruizn, no problems whatsoever.

Sounds real good. I'll have to look into getting it done at some point. Thanks.

http://www.cruzinperformance.com/ is their link.

Has anyone who has used Cruzin or WitchHunter know if they also replace the pintels?

It is located on the drivers side of the intake plenum. It will have a metal fuel line (the little one) and electrical connector going to it.
