Finishing up HG job on '86 Runner.

Hey everyone,
I've previously posted about a HG job that I've been doing and it's been a couple months now. I've had some roadblocks and time constraints but now that I've officially graduated from college (only 3 years grad school left) I have some time on my hands to finally finish this thing. Alright, so first thing is that I stripped some studs for the exhaust so I've helicoiled those holes and sorted them out

Drilled

Tapped

Helicoil inserted

Alright so exhaust done but I bought a denso 02 sensor and wont fit on these ˟˟˟˟ty Hedman headers (don't buy them anyone!). So I have to buy a couple gaskets for now to stack them in order for it to fit...sigh..

Onto the power steering pump. I've installed the bracket...mostly. There is a screw on the front of the head that just wont fit- the bracket and hole are misaligned by about a 1/4 inch so way too far to ever get it on there..

˟˟˟˟˟ you bracket

Should I just leave it? Trust me, no amount of manipulation will get these to align..

If anyone has any comments or hints about my problems let me know! otherwise, I'll just continue with this build

Well the distributor is back on and I think (hope) I did it right.

It's TDC, and the distributor is facing wire 1 at the moment.

I'm picking up a new oil pan bolt (M12x1.25) tomorrow and going to dump about 4.5 quarts into her so I can get the valve cover on and start installing those vacuum lines and electrical. Anyone have a good thread of someone doing this?

Also, I need help getting the fuel line back on, the hayes manual isn't very helpful. Thanks y'all!

Ok I really, REALLY, need help identifying where some of these wires and lines go. So there is a metal vacuum line thingy that I dont know where it mounts.. I know where the lines coming off of it go..
alas, I need help- this thing has to get running tonight and turn over the first attempt or I owe my dad $20 (a little bet we have)

Also, Where does this line go to?

The line looks like a fuel line. So it should connect to one side of the fuel filter. The metal thingy should mount right next to the valve cover on the intake side.

There is a detail of the alternator bracket at the end of this thread. http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...ingChain.shtml

That looks like the banjo fitting that goes to the fuel filter mounted to the back of the block on the passenger side.

It wouldn't connect to the cold start injector would it?? I'm "feeling" the fuel filter and I don't think it would go there...

ok found it thanks to this diagram

It went to the front of the fuel rail..

Now I have to go get gaskets for this assembly. That and the darn damper wont screw in.

So I'm like 98% done with getting this thing together minus this one hose- I believe it's a water hose- and some electrical fittings..

Anyone know where I can find the hose for this fitting right under the CSI?

Also, I have this little mystery from the top of the valve cover..

I took pictures when I tore it down but for some reason the files are corrupt in the place I stored them..
