try smelling your coolant, if it smells like exhaust its probally the headgasket. Have you cooling system preasure tested. Etc. Blown Headgaskets are no fun, but can be fixed. Make sure it is blown before you start tearing it apart though.

I would still think this is a head gasket problem if in fact that is coolant. As mentioned try smelling it and maybe run it for a minute while its doing that then pull the plugs and see if thats oil or antifreeze.....

You can have the radiator pressure tested as mentioned. I think sometimes though it wont show a head gasket leak if it requires more pressure then a little pressure tester can provide, like the engine its itself. Its worth a shot though....

you could pull the needle valve out of the compression gauge and use the ait compresser and blow in the compression gauge line. look for air bubbles in the radiator

Howdy... well we borrowed the air compressor from the neighbors and did this and it did bubble... so the head gasket is screwed lol... but anyways we are tearin it all apart right now... and he said since we have it this far apart we should get a new cam...

What cam do you think would be the best? What else should we change in it since its this far apart? Timing chain?

Well we took the head out and took it to a machine shop and they said it was cracked... hmmm...

But I guess I am really kind of in luck... my moms boyfriend owns a "junk yard" basically and he has a ton of older toyota trucks and 4runners... and most are torn apart and one has a good head thats out of it already... so that put me in a good mood hah...
