I was going to tell you you could swap one side for the other with a little work but you figured that out fer yerself lol...

Better hurry on that lock install Gustav may have missed you but Harriet is spinning up out by the leeward isles just waiting to go after FLA.

If you do get after that electric install there is a kit on ebay.uk that will give you an OEM type "buttons in the key" keyless entry system. cost was about $50US very high-class set up.

hmm... had a problem like this once... got new keys cut from the dealer and the driver's door was still difficult. squirted some brake parts cleaner in the lock, then some lock lube (alcohol carrier based graphite) from Toyota and it worked fine.

well, I installed em today, and MAN what a difference... It's like getting into a brand new truck now! I should have done this a long time ago

Now I just have 3 different dang keys; 1 fer the doors, 1 fer the ignition, and 1 fer the gas door (the old door key cut, which still works great in the gas door lock cylinder)

but I couldn't be happier; for how easy it is and considering the price a new aftermarket lock cylinder kit is, I'd reccomend it for anyone having the issues and finding new keys (even from Toyota) don't seem to want to work right

You can remove the gas door lock easily and have it keyed to match the door locks. Should only cost around $20 with tax.

it's really no big deal to me. I took it off and cleaned it up a bit and put some lube in it after I put in my new door locks. I can live with 3 keys

Makes it more fun when someone borrows your truck too.
