what have you replaced check your plug wires make sure they are all pushed on good and pull them away from the motor it will burn holes through them and when they get wet its a P.T.A to go over like 30mph check and make sure your coil is in goodshape check all electrical connections. if all that does not fix it then your cat maybe clogged.

yeah, if the cat's glowing red and it's running like poo, I'd be willing to bet the cat's shot.

how many miles are on it?

may also be worthwhile to check the coolant temp sensor for the EFI and also the air flow meter.
with the cat getting hot, that's an indicator the fuel mix is too rich which could be caused by either of the two sensors I mentioned or timing or possibly worn rings, or possibly a plugged cat or muffler.

If your cat is glowing then you got problems that should be resolved ASAP before you damage something. See if your exhaust manifold is glowing too. check your timing and check for a clog in the cat.

and on a second thought, are you over-heating?

what's your temps at while it's running bad?

Remove the cat and look for busted screens. If its a stocker you can sell it for around 70-100 bucks at the scrap yard/metal recyclers. They have a small amount of platinum inside.

Take that money and buy an aftermarket cat Free upgrades!

i had replaced the plugs wires cap rotor all the filters it is not overheating the manifold does not glow red and the cat is about 3 months old. It runs awesome as long as its not humid could it be from a cheap dist cap i hooked up the timing light and #1 flashes normal when idleing but #2,3,4 flash like the coil wire
