Coiled SAS
As i was browsing through craigslist, i happened to come across this beauty of a pickup.
http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/1326945836.html
I started to notice it was SAS'd.
About 5 seconds after that i jumped back because i noticed it was COILED in the front, rather than leafs. Do they sell a kit like this? Or do you think this guy just fabbed it up himself?
It looks like a legit setup to me, well thought out rather than just cobbled together.
(Btw, i'm not buying the truck i was just wondering)

It's custom but it looks to me like they used a FJ80 landcruiser axle on the front with the arms.
Most likely the axle is wider in the front than the back.
Other than that it looks good.

Also, it's got three control arm links not a landcruiser radius arm system.
Additionally, It appears that Trail Gear has just released a three link coil set-up for sale on their website. They've had a three link rear kit for a while now. I'm going to go all coils on my 1st gen 4runner as soon as I can.

Yup. Turns out this is a SAS kit All Pro makes for the first gen Tacoma . The kit, with their hybrid axle, for only $9000. Get-em while they're hot!

I'm sorry, my earlier post wasn't clear. The picture I linked to in that post was of the All Pro three link front with their hybrid axle for the Tacoma. Below is an image from a Trail-Gear forum post of a customer's rig with Trail gear's three link rear kit. It's a mild installation like I want to do on my 4runner.
