just an FYI make sure you guys are recalulating for the lack of a gear change. that makes a difference in what your mileages are. don't just go by what you used and what your odometer says. Because your odometer is wrong.

i have 33x10.50s on 4.10s with the V6... but ill share my opinion I guess. the only time I run into an underpowered spot is when im doing freeway speeds and hit a steep hill... ( highway 50 towards lake tahoe for those of you local to california )

31" 10.50's m/t's, 4.10's, 5spd, 22re. i can break 140km/h (like 85mph ish) on the hwy.... all i have is a header and glasspack and its not so bad. at about 70mph im at like 3000rpm and i have hit decent hills and as long as i floor it before the hill a can usually take it. sometimes it ends up with a 4th gear near the end lol. 33"s will be worse but i couldnt see it being that bad for a short amount of time?

Running 33x12.5 with 4.10 gears, 22RE and auto....it is not bad as everyone makes it seem with 33's. I can hit 75mph on a hill no problem...O/D and ECT are your friends!

So don't just look at tires...consider how "fresh" your engine is as well.

Exactly...I hear time and time again that these truck cant do it. My friends 85 4runner has a fresh rebuild and he can cruise at 80 NP with 33x12.5 4.10 gears. He even has passing power. Make sure your timing chain has not stretched that was a big power killer on mine. its all good now. He also averages 18-22mpg
