I would look for a part out or used tranny for sale. Should be able to get 1 for under $200. Your tranny should be a R150F.

mine was popping out of first and would always grind going into reverse. I threw a marlin crawler shifter seat and the ball that goes on the end of the shifter on it and now its tight and shifts better than any of the 10-15 yota's I've driven.

^^^^Try this first. Also check for a cracked clutch pedal bracket if you're having trouble getting INTO gears.

Try the er seat and bushing (a must do for any r150 trans) from marlin crawler. Then check for cracks in the clutch pedal bracket like Tn mentioned.

If its still problimatic, then look for a used trans. You can get them for under $250 with a transfercase. 89-95 is all the same with the exception of the electric/cable speedo.

thanks everybody. Ill get the bushing first. It is sloppy.

Which color bushing for my tranny?

By the way if I do get a tranny what years of the r150f have the same speedo connections?

If you get a replacement tranny, talk to MarlinCrawler; their rebuilt trannys are great.
