^x2.. does it even try to run?

there should be 3 plugs..

1 goes to the tranny for reverse lights. one goes to the o2 sensor, and one goes to you transfer case for the 4x4 light.

Only 3 things to check - fuel, spark, air(compression) and you've checked 1.5 of them.

x3 for distributor 180* out.

If its isnt even turning over check
1. starter is actually in the hole, i had mine fall out on the way home from work last week, and wire brush the contacts and terminal
2. check fuses takes about 4 minutes to check all of them
3. make sure all of your grounds are hooked up (valve cover, chasis to engine coming of starter wire)

If it is rotating but not catching check
1. if it cranks all slow or backfires out of the air box, turn your dist around
2. pull the 19mm bolt going to the fuel rail, you will need a new crush washer, and see if you have a steady stream of fuel with the key turned to acc. dont try to start but see if you have constant flow (fill a beer can in a minute or so), if this is weak it could be sending unit, pump or pressure reg.
3. make sure all of your plug wires are on the correct spot, plug wire 1 on the number 1 location on the cap.
4. Spray some brake cleaner in the throttle body while attempting to start, and see what that does.

Thats all the mods I got

I think St. Patties Day is unAmerican. I technically celebrate St. Patties every night of the year, I dont need a holiday to justify it.

Have you pulled the plugs to veriify fuel is being injected? You will have pressure but if the injectors are not firing all is for nothing. This happened to me after a head gasket change. The wires got pulled loose from the plug. The connector was tight but no contact was being made. Check the wires and connector coming of the silver finned box on the passenger side firewall. It will be an insulated 2 wire white with yellow connectors.

I'm wondering... how do you check the timing if the engine won't start?

20r/22r/22re/22rte
crank at 0
cam at 0: intake and exhaust valves loose on #1 cylinder
distributor removed, rotor at 12 oclock, insert, should rotate CCW to about 10 oclock.
