22re High Idle - Drops with AC Compressor
ok - so I know when the AC compressor kicks on, the old girl is supposed to Idle Up to compensate. My old girl however seems to be permanently stuck in Idle Up mode, so when the AC compressor kicks in - she drops to a somewhat normal idle. But when the compressor is off - she idles around 1400 RPM.
I also have a Power Steering Fluid leak at the pump - may or may not be related? I've read through allot of threads with regards to Idle issues - but those all seem to related to way high idles - like 3000 RPM.
Seems to me like whatever controls the Idle Up for the AC is stuck in the On position, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Gonna maybe tackle the Power Steering pump this weekend hopefully.

Was looking at this pic - http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...ine_Pix/9.html as the old girl is also notoriously difficult to start, only ever starts on the 3rd or 4th try - even with a brand new battery.
Could a faulty VSV also add to a high idle when the old girl finally gets started?
