1992 Toyota 3.0 dead miss on 2 cylinders
My truck has now been in two different shops for 3 months and the mechanics cannot figure out my problem. The engine has a dead miss on cylinders 1 and 2. Compression is good. Spark plugs, wires, injectors, distributor cap have all been changed. Each mechanic suggest either selling the truck or dropping in a rebuilt engine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What do you mean by "dead miss"? Do those cylinders not fire at all? How do you know that?
What do the plugs look like after running for a while? If they're black and carboned up it's an ignition problem. If they are dry it's a fuel problem. If they're all oily you've got a valve guide or ring problem that is dumping in excess oil and fouling the plugs.
BTW, these are things the mechanics should have checked before replacing any parts.

Well, as you said in your first post, the miss is in #1 and #2 cyls.
Still don't know definitely wether its spark, fuel, or compression, or a combination of these that is the problem.
Will an inductive timing light trigger off both #1 and # 2 plug wires??
This test will tell whether the high voltage from the coil is getting to these plugs.
Gotta start somewhere.
