there are all sorts of good ones around, just find the ones that you like the best as far as styling goes. some will say bolt-ons work fine, some will say they're too weak...i don't have an argument either way for that. mine are just square tubing welded and gusseted to the frame with nothing fancy going on

The most affordable ones will probably be the Trail Gear sliders. They sell for something like $135. I have them and am happy so far. But then again, I don't do any hardcore rock crawling. I use mine mostly for backcountry roads with light-moderate rocks. Nevertheless, they're still strong enough to jack the whole truck from. I haven't come down super hard on them yet, so I can't give any input there. All in all, I think they are great for the price.

I've got the Marlin sliders. They've held up great to everything I've dropped onto so far. If you weld them to the frame, make sure you make some scab plates that weld between the slider leg and the frame rail.

I got a set of DOM, non-kickout sliders from 4x4 innovations. Very good quality but I'm sure all the other kits are as well. You can still paint with the sliders welded on; at least I'm planning on doing so.

I got the HREW with Kickouts...Ther are only so many rocks out her in Dallas Texas. The kickout have alredy saved the side of my rig once (dang ruts near trees). I have had no complaints except i wish i had not put them at such a step angle. I have pics but are at home pm me you e-mail and I will try to send them to you tonight when I get home
