New to forum - Hello!

Hi everyone. I just joined the ranks of classic Toyota truck owners and I wanted to say hello.

I was lucky enough to find a basically single owner 1985 SR5 Extended cab 4x2 with the 22RE and a 5-speed. It has 98,455 original miles on it.

It was used a a drag vehicle behind a RV by the original purchaser. It passed through 2 additional owners over the past 2 years and I plan to keep it for a long time.

It has manual steering which I would like to convert to power. That's what brought me to this forum.

I look forward to learning from all of the veteran members and contributing as I can.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Don't like the Armstrong Steering? It will increase the life of your vehicle. Women won't be able to drive it!

The 85 4Runners had power steering. I believe it's a straight bolt-up modification. There's tons of info from people modding their 4wd's to high steer power steering on these forums. Yours will be similar, minus the need for high steer. Sorry I'm not much more help than that!

Nice looking truck you have. I like the extra cabs for the extra room for tall people like myself. Lots of info on here to help you get it to where you want it to be. Welcome to Yotatech.
