more power for the 22re?

any one know where to find a turbo or supercharger for the 22 RE motor that is not electricly driven off the battery. also what other modifications should be done if supercharging an engine? i have a high flow intake and thats all right now i don't believe a larger exhaust would add that much power to notice a difference any knowledge on this? Thanks

Tri-y headers will help you out quite a bit.Exhaust on a 22re isnt as important as on a 350 or something, they run almost the same dumping out of the headers as almost anything else. If you want to supercharge it you will need to build the hell out of the bottom end and get a stronger head gasket and probably run oversized valves to make the best of your massive flow

Realistically you wont get much from a 22re in the way of power without dumping rediculous amounts of money into it. You would be better off swapping in a 7mge from a supra or something

find a used garrett t3 turbo. gets some bigger injectors off another vehicle. And to finish it off run a megasquirt management system. With stock 22re compression you can run about 7-8 psi with no problems and get around 200 WHP. all that can be accomplished for about 1k if you find the deals.

If you dont have much money to spend a Cam from engnbldr is best bang for buck. 2 1/4 exhuast is optimal or even 2" if you have a header. You dont want to much flow or else you loose all your torque.
