85 power windows

i have a 85 toyota sr5. it has power windows and they have bth finally went out. my question is should i install a universal kit since its cheaper? also how hard would it be to make it manual windows. thanks

Universal kits usually are more trouble then they are worth. See if other models use the same motor. I have used newer parts on these old trucks. Sometime you may need to swap plug connectors.
