84 4Runner 268k miles, what would you do first?
I just bought an 84 4runner w/268k miles on it. I can tell there are a lot of warn parts on it. I'm not really sure where in the heck to start as far as replacing things. As of right now I don't want to add larger tires or lift it. I have 31's on it and it may be lifted already an inch or two. Seems a little higher from stock, but may just be the little larger tires.
The engine seems to run great and has quite a bit of power compared to the two 85 trucks i've owned in the last few months. The tranny is good and the clutch. The 4 wheel drive, high and low work awesome too!
There was a strange noise when I was reversing up a small hill and turning too. Not sure what causes that. It wasn't from the tranny or engine.
Any input on stuff to checkout and what I should look for as far as things I should or want to replace to bring this thing back up to par again?
Things I know it needs:
New exhaust
