Hi new account but have been on the site for all problems and questions I’ve had. I have a 94 4Runner 3vze auto that cranks but won’t start. Originally did this when driving and would just shut off. It then just would never fire up again. Towed it gone and finally got time to work on it. Checked timing marks for proper alignment. Spark plugs were not fouled or burnt(only have about 2k miles on plugs and wires.) All cylinders compression check were close to each other, none stood out significantly. Replaced fuel pump fue sock and fuel filter. Drained tank of old fuel and poured new fuel and stabilizer in. Injectors are new. Cold start injectior works well. No vacuum leaks. No loose ground I could find. No blow fuses. No codes. When pulling codes CEL blinks fast at constant speed. When spraying starter fluid into intake engine will fire but as soon as starter flyid is removed engine stalls. Am I suspected of having a faulty AFM? No one around here has an afm I can use to check with. No aftermarket air filter. Oem filter is clean. I forgot to add that after I did the timing and put a new battery in because I used it for my pickup the 4Runner fired up. It idled really good. I let it run for 15 minutes and it just shut off on me like before. No bogging it just shut off. I tried to restart it and it went back to cranking without starting. I don’t want to pull the trigger on ordering an expensive used afm yet until I I have reason. I also checked fuel pressure at cold start injector and had plenty of pressure. My thought were If afm is faulty it won’t tell the ecm to open the injectors. Since it runs with starter fluid I’m thinking that’s just an afm right? Sorry if it was a long one but I’d like to be as specific as I can for better help. If I got something wrong or need more information please let me know. Thanks for any help
