I am going to look into that deck, my trucks interior is also that clean so I dont want to cut but mine has factory spots on the doors, more towards the back though for a smaller speaker, maybe a 4in? how much was the deck and did it have the ipod cable?

Yeah, those should be 4" holes in the doors. The wood door panels are perforated to cut holes for the speakers (at least they were on mine). I just wanted the sound further up front...

I bought the stereo from Crutchfield.com for $250 (lists for $280, I had a gift card). It comes with both the USB input and aux input you see coming out of my ash tray.

Another option is to buy a used Kenwood 3006 off eBay. I've seen them go for anywhere between $40 and $200.

There is plenty of room on the side panel next to the seat for speakers, sounds pretty good as long as you fade the sound a little to the speakers in the door.
