Quality sound in a 1983 (audio upgrade)

I am going to look into that deck, my trucks interior is also that clean so I dont want to cut but mine has factory spots on the doors, more towards the back though for a smaller speaker, maybe a 4in? how much was the deck and did it have the ipod cable?

I bought the stereo from Crutchfield.com for $250 (lists for $280, I had a gift card). It comes with both the USB input and aux input you see coming out of my ash tray.
Another option is to buy a used Kenwood 3006 off eBay. I've seen them go for anywhere between $40 and $200.

There is plenty of room on the side panel next to the seat for speakers, sounds pretty good as long as you fade the sound a little to the speakers in the door.
