Hi Guys, new to the forum and to mini trucks.
I need to put a new backup switch into my L43 tranny, do i need to drain the fluid or can i just remove and install new one?
thanks.

Well is the switch above or below the fill plug??

Not sure with that trans but most you can just change the switch

Unless the gear oil needs changed

low on the rear right corner ... hence the question. I suspected the fluid will need to be changed out but thought i would ask... I guess i should change the fluid anyway. the truck has 122,000 km on it, one owner. he seemed to look after it but who knows for sure.
