22R Carb adjustments
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find info on how to adjust my carb? I just got it rebuilt, but I can't seem to keep it running after I installed it back on the truck. I just need to adjust the RPMs, rich/lean. Just general info....some pics would be cool too. Anyone know of a post out there that might help?

When you rebuilt the carb did you take the chock assembly a part ?, if so, did you put it back together properly ?, are you sure that you got the vacuum hoses conected properly ?, have you checked for vacuum leaks ? did you try adjusting the idle screw ?, how did your truck run before you rebuilt the carb ?, when i got my truck, the previous owner had been screwing with the timing to try and make it run, once i rebuilt the carb and reset the timing my truck now runs perfect.

The Carb was professionally rebuilt. Had an import carb rebuild place do the work. I just know enought to put it back together....I really don't know anything else. The truck did not run other than idle before rebuild. There ended up being a bad O ring in it. It is now built and clean. I just don't even know which screws are the idle screw...or what??? Really any help would be nice!

The idle screw is on the passenger side of the carb just below the fuel cut solenoid (the round thing with wires comming out of the back) its a screw with a spring around it. try adjusting it by turning it clockwise to raise the idle and see if that makes a difference.

Trauma, I have an 83 and just rebuilt the carb, set the idle and adjusted the mixture, so maybe I can help you. I removed most of the vac lines except for the vac advance to distributor, PCV valve, and brake booster. There was a lot of lines that I plugged, either by routing them back to themselves or just capping them. I will try to get you a picture.
