1980 4x4 P/U Lift???

I am trying to clear 36in Super Swampers the cheapest way possible. I am on a tight budget. Let me know some ideas ya'll have used. Pics are GOOD.

I used a longer shakle and a 1.5 wheel spacer and it fits nicely on my 83

Rear's up front and 63" chevies in the back..

basically free....if you got a welder and some 1/4in steel (or thicker) plate!

I got longer shackles already, but i am trying to clear 36s. 63' chevy springs arent easy to come by. I got a welder andcan fab up whatever, so just give me some ideas.

63" chevy rear springs should be READILY available at almost ANY junkyard in the states..

i see more chevy's in the yards than anything else..even ford

seriously though..search around man! hahaha

you could do a 3" body lift and probably fit them just like that

i know my '80 has 2in lift springs and i cleared 33" swampers no problem at all and could still flex completely without rubbing

you could fab up a 3" body lift..... if its gonna be offroad alot

might also want to look into gettin a set of 5.29 gears for your axles..or you will have hardly NO POWER..and your mpg number will be converted into Gallons per mile....

its got a 3in body lift already. i'll go check out the scrap yard tomorrow and see the luck i get. is it only 63 chevys that will work? if i do find them, will it clear my 36s?

yeah they will clear the 36's for sure

but im pretty sure Ford 4x4 rear springs work..

search around for spring swaps as you have to use springs that are year specific..you can just use ANY chevy or ford springs..they have to be within a certain year range...

i was takin my front end off my truck today and am at stand still now. the bolt that holds the spring on the hanger won't budge on the passengers side. all the other bolts came out no problem.
