Bellhousing comparison, Stock auto 4runner on the left and the "J1" casting on the right. Stock bell housing measures 5 1/2" face to face and the J1 4 3/4

Currently trying to research if this trans needs any feedback from ecu. Hopefully not, hoping that i can find an accurate wiring diagram for it so i can land a ground and 12v to the solenoids and maybe the vody harness and it will kind of take care of itself after that lol

Stock trans in the 95 runner. Was a little confused when i first saw the -80. Only thing i found on a different forum base was that this is Aisin original part# that toyota transferd into the a340 series. Found a little bit more info on it when i realised that it was also used in 1988-1991 izuzu troopers.

These two are the factory auto trans that came behind my 1jz gte vvti when i did the swap into my 1st gen runner. From wiki says the LS contains mild internal upgrades for the 1j and 2j motors. Outside casing is very similar from what i can see. I would consider trying to mate the two together to make this a 4wd trans but for starters the ecu on the 1j im putting in is for a M/T. I would half to buy an auto ecu but even with that im not sure there is a gurantee i could get it to work.

Currently trying to find a accurate wiring diagram for the stock trans. Hopefully im able to wire it to where it can sustain its self with needing any feed back from an ecu. Hoping i can find a pinout for to land some grounds,12v maybe for the solenoids. If not potentially may scrap the whole idea and just put the manual in it

The two trannys are almost identical. The input shaft and oil pump have the same measurements out from the casing. Bellhousings do interchange with one another.

Thus is currently what is in the 4runner. 30-80LE
Toyota transferd Aisin part# into the A340xx series. Once i found out the identical trans was used in 1988-1991 izuzu troopers as its stamped i was able to find exact literature and parts for it.

This is stock trans that came behind my 1jz gte vvti when i did the 1st swap into my 1st gen 4runner. Outside casings are extremly similar, internals to carry mild upgrades for the 1j and 2jz motors. I would consider mating the two together to turn this into a 4wd trans. But i really wanna keep this as simple as possible and currently the ecu i have for the 1j going in will not support this trans :(

I went on a Toyota parts site and looked both up for a 1993 2jz supra with 4speed automatic
