Center/Carrier bearing question on alignment

I replaced the carrier/center bearing on my 84 4X4 xtra cab, I marked old one on cross beam and put new one on those marks, but the two piece drive shafts are not straight from transfer case to diffs pinion. It's off to one side. Is this normal? Or do I need to move carrier/center bearing over so the 2 piece drive shaft is in line with tranfer case and rear pinion? The carrier/center bearing has slots for the bolts not just a hole so there is some room to move it over slightly or just stick with the marks from old carrier/center bearing? Thanks...

The carrier bearing should be directly behind the transfer case output which is on the centerline of the truck. The differential pinion is offset a little so don't try to line up with that.

It is straight in line with transfer case and the center line of the truck then it jogs or goes to the left towards pinion, I'm glad it's normal, didn't want to mess with again...Thanks for the come back...
